About the artist: Matthew Beadon attended the Community Art Project in Darlington for many years until 2025. He describes his drawings as "pictures of houses", and they usually contain architectural details and geometric patterns. His more recent work has tended to use colour more regularly, often with fineline pens, and he works slowly with great patience and concentration. In addition to numerous Community Art Project exhibitions, his work has been included in: Manchester Art Fair 2018; 'Environments', Outside In National Open, Kings Place, London 2019; 'The Inside and the Outside', Lightbox Woking 2019; Euward 8, Haus der Kunst, Munich 2021; and 'Under a Blue Sky', Phoenix Artspace, Brighton 2022.
