About the artist: Steven Hardy attended the Community Art Project in Darlington, a council-funded project for adults with learning disabilities, for many years until 2022. His drawings, crowded with figures, each carefully drawn with tiny variations and sometimes more obvious distinguishing features such as colour, inevitably make us consider how we belong and "fit in with the crowd" or stand apart, isolated or threatened by others. In addition to numerous exhibitions, his work has been included in: Shape Open 2019; 'Environments', Outside In National Open 2019; 'The Inside and the Outside', Lightbox Woking; 'The Time is Now', Glasgow 2021; and 'Under a Blue Sky', Phoenix Artspace, Brighton.
