About the artist: Stephen Muszynski attended the Community Art Project in Darlington for many years until 2022. His work was selected for the Shape Open at Guest Project Space, London 2016. In his own words: "I live in Darlington and I used to go to the Community Art Project two days a week. I like doing drawings and paintings and tapestries. I taught myself how to do them and I go to the shop to buy the wool and plastic mesh that I need. I also like working with watercolours and sometimes with oil pastels or felt tipped pens. I do art at home and at The Bridge (a Visual Arts Centre). It is my favourite hobby. I also like to travel to different places on the train and the bus and this gives me ideas for my art. My favourite places to visit are Durham, Saltburn and Newcastle."
